One of Donald Trumps campaign promises was to make our country economically strong and to combat this nations national debt. Since he has taken office he has implemented a number of policies to do this. DOGE has been looking at government programs that can be cut because they are deemed to be wastefully spending government funds. However, one of the biggest controversial policies Donald Trump has implemented is Tariffs, and it has caused many people to feel that it is going to economically harm us and cost Americans jobs.

Another campaign promise that Donald Trump made was to battle this countries problem with illegal immigration. He promised to deport illegal immigrants and has been doing that. Because of this many people feel that this will hurt our economy because of the jobs that illegal immigrants do in this country. Illegal Immigrants do a lot of manual labor jobs and are willing to do these jobs and a much lower pay rate than most Americans. Because of this “cheap labor” we are able to keep the prices down on certain products. However, the amount of money illegal immigrants costs taxpayers far outweighs the amount that will be saved because of the “cheap labor” that we take advantage of.

Our country used to be the leading manufacturer in the world. We would export products all over the world to a number of different countries. We were self reliant on using our own resources and didn’t need to rely on the products of other countries. However, now we don’t use hardly any of our own resources. We have had a huge trade deficit for a number of years where the amount we import far exceeds the amount we export. This means we are spending more money to import products than we are making exporting products. This is costing our country money and is something Donald Trump has promised to change.

The policy causing the most controversy right now is the implementation of tariffs, something Trump said he was going to do when he was campaigning. President Trump has placed tariffs on a number of countries including Mexico, Canada, and China as well as on aluminum and steel. Tariffs were put on these countries because they are taking advantage of this country. Our borders are less secure than ever and these countries are the primary sources of fentanyl coming into the country. Democrats have made statements about how the tariffs will not only hurt our country economically but will hurt alliance with these countries as well. Democrats are the reason we are in this position now.

While tariffs tax imports coming in from other countries they also can help US manufacturing. Because of the tariff tax that will raise prices on products coming in from other countries businesses will be more likely to buy domestic. Buying domestic will help bolster our economy and increase jobs. The reason we have such a large trade deficit right now is because of the high taxes for businesses in this country. It is cheaper for companies to go overseas where they pay a lower tax rate. These countries have taken advantage of this and have been increasing the amount of product imported into our country while our manufacturing jobs have steadily been on the decline. Trump made a campaign promise to change this and that is exactly what he is doing.

Democrats and the media have been using the best tactic they have, putting fear in the American people. The media has especially been touting the message of how devastating these tariffs are going to be for our country. They have claimed that we are going to go into a recession and that our economy is only going to get worse. Donald Trump has said that the county may feel negative effects for the short-term but the long-term advantages will be worth it. The media and democrats have denounced these policies without giving them a chance to work or trying to work with the Republicans.

When President Biden was in office and the economy started getting worse and inflation was rising we were told his policies needed time to work. However, they never started working and continued to get worse. The media never criticized him for his policies or how bad he was making the economy. As soon as Trump took office they started to criticize his policies saying they wouldn’t work before they even knew what they were. It wouldn’t matter what he did the Democrats and the media will continue to claim Donald Trump is the worst thing that has happened to this country.

President Trumps policies during his last administration didn’t have time to work because of Covid. However, even in the short time they were implemented people started to notice things were getting better. Companies were starting to invest in the country again and businesses were expanding creating jobs. The little bit that did get better was completely destroyed by Joe Biden and his blind spending. The people voted for Donald Trump and he deserves a chance for his policies to work before we start criticizing him, especially since he is doing exactly what he said he was going to do and why people voted for him.

The massive amount of spending on federal programs during Joe Biden’s administration raised our national debt and a reason why inflation rose. Because of this Donald Trump appointed Elon Musk to lead DOGE to look at federal programs and cut wasteful spending. Elon Musk has stated that he has found fraud that has occurred which the media and democrats have repeatedly claimed is not true. They have also told the American people that Donald Trump is going to get necessary programs, such as Medicare and social security, a claim Trump has repeatedly denied.

If anyone were to look into what is occurring, as I have, Trump is not cutting social security or Medicaid but looking at areas where they improper payments are being made, such as payments to people who are no longer eligible or deceased. The democrats deny this is happening and claim Trump is just saying this so he can cut the programs completely. They have been making this claim this his last administration and it still has happened. The democrats have to make this claim otherwise they would have to realize that Joe Biden and their party is responsible for this wasteful spending.

Donald Trumps policies have been proven to work and anyone who looks at what is actually happening and what Trump is planning on doing would feel comfortable about our economy and the direction it is going. In my opinion I think the Democrats and the media are trying to sabotage the work Trump is doing. They would rather see this country fail than to see Donald Trump succeed and they are doing what they can to make that happen. Democrats have always claimed missinformation on any story that puts them in a bad light and raised stories that are negative towards Trump, many which have actually been misinformation. The media has always pushed what the democrats want and they are continuing to do it.

I watch a lot of different media networks and a majority of them talk about how bad Trump is for this country. They constantly say that everything Trump is doing is going to hurt our country, no matter what it is. Democrats and the media will make programs that are hurting our country seem like they are the best thing that has happened just to make it seem like Trump is doing the wrong thing. Our education has been getting worse in this country and Trump wants to demolish the department of education and put education back in the hands of the states. Democrats immediately came out saying Trump is trying to hurt our children and destroy our education system.

What the media and democrats are doing is the biggest harm to our country and to our economy. Every media site has talked about how the market has been going down and using this as a reason as to why Trump is going to destroy our economy. I think one of the biggest reasons why the market is going down is because of the constant negative stories the media has been giving Trump. If democrats and the media are constantly telling people that they need to be worried it is going to start happening. If they are constantly telling people they need to stop spending money because prices are going up and Donald Trump is going to hurt our retirement then they are going to stop spending money. This is what will hurt our economy more than Trumps policies ever could.

Democrats and the media tried to spread this message during the campaign to stop Trump from getting elected. It didn’t work then and it isn’t going to work now. People need to stop listening to democrats and the media and start looking into what is happening themselves. The media used to be where people got there information from and they would believe what they were being told. That is no longer the case anymore. The more I listen to what the media is saying and then research what they are saying the more I lose faith in the media. It is also why I feel they are trying to destroy this country just to hurt Donald Trump.

I think the biggest threat this country right now is the media. People need to realize that the media has been trying to destroy Trump since his first campaign and that most of what they say either isn’t true or is exaggerated. People voted for Donald Trump for a reason and even if you don’t like him you need to accept it and give him a chance to do what he said he was going to do. It is also why people don’t need to worry about this country’s economic situation and trust that what he is doing is going to better for everyone.
