We are currently about to see round two of a presidential election rematch between Donald Trump and Joe Biden and determining if this will have a positive or negative impact on this country you have to look at the current state our country is in. Everyone has heard the claims that we are better off since Biden has taken office, a claim he touts is because of his policies, but I don’t think most people feel that way. People seem to forget that when Joe Biden took office during an epidemic that resulted in worldwide economic decline. As the epidemic was coming to an end of course it was getting better. However, before COVID-19 there is no denying that the policies Trump enacted did make this America’s economy better off than we currently are and I wonder what the economy would of looked like if he was able to continue implementing his policies?

We may now get the chance to see that possibility happen and I for one would like to see that happen. When President Biden took office he promised to bring unity and “democracy” back into our country and that he is the better choice to be president. Now that he has been in office for three and a half years many Americans do not feel that they are better off. It doesn’t help that he bases how well he is doing by comparing the economy now from the economy during the peak of the epidemic. Now that the election is getting closer I still don’t hear what President Biden plans to do to make this country better. Their only argument to get reelected seems to be that Trump is worse and our democracy is at stake. No matter what news station you listen to the story is always attacks against Donald Trump and never points out the many mistakes President Biden has made. Because the Biden administration has no plan it seems like they are doing what they can to keep Donald Trump out of the race and there are many reasons why I think that.

Donald Trump is now facing four different indictments which not only don’t seem fair but some of these crimes were committed by President Biden himself. President Biden claimed that we needed to be unified country in this country and that everyone has the right to free speech. However, President Biden has stated that MAGA Republicans “are a threat to this country” and “are not welcome here”. How can you be for unity while claiming half of its citizens don’t belong here? By adding these indictments to Donald Trump the democratic party is putting fear into the people of this country if he does not become elected. Any negative story about our current president is either considered “Russian propaganda”, lies, or just hidden under the rug. How is that not considered election interference? Our country is more divisive than it has ever been, unity has become much worse, and the only time President Biden is allowed to come and speak to the public is to attack Donald Trump or his supporters. The four indictments against him prove this fact.

The first case Donald Trump went to court on was a civil case brought against him by Letitia James, the Attorney General of New York. There are many issues I have this case, besides the fact that Judge Arthur Engoron decided to rule in this case without a jury claiming he committed fraud. We must first look at why this case was brought forward. The issue revolves around a loan the ex-President received. In obtaining the loan the Attorney General of New York claimed that Donald Trump over-evaluated his property values in order to receive better loan terms. My first issue is why the state of New York is filing a civil case against Trump and not the bank who gave the loan, which should have been the one who did. Another issue is how they determined what the value of his property’s were and are able to say that Trump is at fault for this. For one, a property is worth is whatever a person is willing to pay for it and two, an auditor is the one who determines these values. If you were to bring five auditors to the same property they would come up with five different prices. There is no definitive way to determine the value of what someone holds. The final issue is that the loan was paid back so where is the crime? The only people who seem to have an issue with the way this loan was handled is the Judge and Attorney General overseeing this case.

This indictment surely sounds familiar to most Americans, the Hush Money Scheme. In 2018 there was a lawsuit filed against Trump by disgraced lawyer Michael Avenatti on behalf of Stormy Daniels. By looking at the issues and problems associated with the case the first time it was brought up it makes me wonder why they are just now bringing an indictment against Trump related to this case. The 2018 lawsuit was brought against Trump to try and disregard a 2016 non-disclosure agreement (NDA) the Ms. Daniels signed in exchange for $130,000 in hopes of being allowed to sell her story. The NDA was signed for an affair that took place during 2006. Of the many problems associated with this case is the timing, then and now. Daniels waited until 2016 to raise the issue of the affair that resulted in the NDA. Then two years later, with lawyer Michael Avenatti, she tried to get out of the NDA, at which time he was then the President. The question of the misconduct that occurred on behalf of Donald Trump is whether or not this was done in order to keep it quiet during his election campaign. The problem I have with this is the fact that this country is supposed to have proof beyond a reasonable doubt. There is nothing stating that this NDA was signed on behalf on Trump’s family and to shield them from any embarrassment that might arise from this affair. An NDA is a legal binding contract and the money was not paid out of campaign funds. The only extortion that occurred was when Michael Avenatti took Ms. Shields share of her signed book deal in regards to the affair, which was illegal in itself.

Now, six years later, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is prosecuting Trump on 34 felony counts of fraud related to this case. The prosecutor has claimed that this is a clear case of election fraud and that this case clearly shows that Trump controlled the election. In looking at all the facts related to this case it is hard to make a clear determination of whether or not Trump did anything wrong or whether or not he committed a crime. However, the way they have gone about bringing this case along with the timing completely overshadows and possible misconduct along with trying to stretch it’s impact by claiming election fraud and interference. If these allegations were true they should have been brought against him as soon as he got out of office, not to have waited until he was nominated to run in the next Presidential Election. By doing that it makes it look like this is completely politically motivated and an attempt to keep him out of the election.

The next two of the indictments against Trump were brought against him by Special Counsel Jack Smith, one of which is for Election Interference, aside from the hush money case. This case claims Trump tried to change the election results by telling his supporters he should have won the election and this resulted in the January 6, 2021 attack on the capital. The January 6 incident, which resulted in not only violence but a death, is claimed to be at the direction of Donald Trump. Many people in this country felt that Donald Trump was going to win that day and were angry that he didn’t. There are protests and riots occurring today based on decisions made by our current president but we are not blaming him for these.

The last indictment, also brought by Jack Smith, shows that these are nothing but a political attack against Donald Trump. These are for the classified documents that were found in Trumps home, Mar-a-Lago. The biggest issue with this case is that President Biden not only did the exact same thing, in my mind it was worse. In my mind the issue of whether or not it was legal to possess these documents is completely undermined on the way it was handled. As with most stories depending on the news media you are watching try and explain why Trump’s case is worse than President Biden’s and that Biden didn’t do anything wrong. Pushing everything to the side just look at the fact that they did both possess classified documents and neither one of them were in office when they possessed them. Now let’s look at where these documents were found. All of the documents found in Trumps possessions were at his Mar-a-Lago residence. President Biden had documents at the Penn Biden Center, University of Delaware, and at his home in Delaware, not to mention his hand written notes of classified documents that were found. Many news media outlets reported that President Biden didn’t do anything wrong because he cooperated after they were found, unlike Trump. Does anything else even need to be said?

Both cases had a special prosecutor assigned to investigate this issue. As we see Trump has been indicated, but what was said about President Biden, done by Robert Hur, he is old and incompetent to stand trial. He basically didn’t know what he was doing and therefore can’t be held accountable. How can anyone look at these facts and think that their system is being fair. This issue alone should scare every American, our President is not competent to stand trial but yet he is running our country. If there was ever a need for title 25 to be enacted now is that time.

There is never going to be a President that has no issues and is perfect on all issues. The problem arises when we are unable to report honestly about what is going on. There have been many questionable issues about the ethics of President Biden, not to mention the problems with his son, Hunter. However, these issues are never discussed and if they are they just seem to quietly go away. According to a New York Times fact check “President Biden’s campaign strategy is to say nothing about Mr. Trump’s legal woes”. I don’t know what they have been watching but it seems like that is all he can talk about. If there was ever a case for election interference the current Biden campaign would be my first candidate and they are doing whatever they can to keep Trump out of the election. If we were to take an honest look at the current administration, and the “incompentency” of President Biden, how could anyone think that there would be a chance he would win this next election. All we have to do is look at the job he has done since he has taken office and ask yourself if the policies he has implemented have helped this country and what another four years look like with this same President. We need to put aside the constant looking at who the person is we are voting for and start looking at the job they are going to be doing and start basing our decisions who will get the job done!
