In the 2022 NCAA division I swimming competition two swimmers tied for 5th place. These swimmers were Riley Gaines and Lia Thomas. Lia Thomas was the first transgender women to enter a division I NCAA sporting event. As a result of this race Riley Gaines began to speak out feeling that the race was unfair and Lia Thomas should have never been allowed to join a women’s sport. This led to Riley Gaines not only suing the NCAA but to begin speaking out about allowing transgender women enter women sports.

Joe Biden implemented title IX during his presidency which mandated that schools who receive federal funds are mandated to allow people play sports based on their gender identity, not there birth sex. Immediately after this policy was implemented I did not agree with it. Riley Gaines is not the only female in sports that has had this problem. Even the Olympics has transgenders playing in female sports. This executive order to me is one that is common sense and should have been implemented from the beginning.

Proponents of this order can try and argue this policy claiming that it is not fair, but in reality not having it is unfair. It is funny how there is not one transgender who has entered a man’s sports, only the other way around. This has nothing to do with taking away people’s rights but has to do with fairness and science. People who are born as a man have more endorphins, making them naturally stronger. Even if a transgender was to get the surgery there endorphin count is still higher, still making them naturally stronger than women. There is reason why transgenders only enter women’s sports.

Since transgenders have been allowed to play in women’s sports they have begun to dominate. Entering sports from swimming, to weight lifting, to bmx riding, transgenders dominate against women in the sport. This country has steered in the wrong direction regarding women’s rights. For anyone who is for women’s rights they should be adamantly against transgender in women’s sports. This makes it drastically unfair for women. It shouldn’t have taken this long for an executive order like this to be signed and Joe Biden should have never enacted Title IX.

Civil Rights leaders and the LGBTQ community immediately came out claiming this policy violated there freedoms. They claim people that are for this policy are against the LGBTQ community, another claim that Trump is homophobic. However, in my mind allowing transgenders to play in women’s sports is sexist, is an attack on women. They can’t have it both ways, there has to be a right and wrong decision. Being for this policy doesn’t mean you against the LGBTQ community, it just means you are for fairness and equality in sports.

The fact that this decision is based on science is something that can be denied. A lot of the terms that are used today I never heard of 30 years ago. However, these are issues that we have never had to deal with in the past. You have to consider all facts in order to find the right solution, a solution that is fair to everyone. Majority of Americans feel that this was the best solution. I believe that even the majority of democrats agree with this decision. Whenever non-Trump supporters find a reason to criticize Trump they seize the moment, as they did in this case.

This is another example of how the democrats won’t give Trump credit when it is due. Even if the policies are in the best interest of the country they will try to block them just to hurt Trump. If this executive order wasn’t put through it would have continued to change sports and the way they are played. This rule essentially made them unfair, one could even say cheating in a way. It has only been 2 months since his inaguration and already his presidency is filled with conroversey. When are democrats going to accept the fact that they lost the election and that Donald Trump is doing what is best for this country. This country can’t afford to continue to operate the way it has been going.
